Attention People doing the music video brief...

I hear rumours abound that you are not allowed to feature a real band in your music video brief. This is not true, you are. As long as you have sought copyright permission then it is ok.

Read this for further information:

However, if you are doing the magazine and/or auxiliary task then you need to take original images and pose as the band - you shouldn't use existing images/material from the band. So, if you were using a Lady Gaga song for your video (which is inadvisable as it is so well known) then you shouldn't then features pictures of her in your auxiliary tasks.

Make sure you read this clarification regarding the digipak and what that should and shouldn't contain.

Your main concern is treating the whole production as one package. Here is a good example for you to have a nose at.

Go forth and be brilliant!
